Flying Tiger 10 Ullman Sails Flying Tiger One Design Program
EXTENSIVE TESTING & DEVELOPMENT Ullman Sails has done extensive two-boat testing on Flying Tiger sails since the fleet began. With two-boat testing against our own sails and competitors sails, we have developed the fastest and easiest sails available. Dave Ullman, who heads up the design team, has been out personally on the boats during sail testing to insure accuracy in the designs and to develop our rig tune to maximize the performance of our customers. We have measured rig tension and spreader angles on over 15 boats and documented performance over the wind ranges. This has allowed us to analyze the performance, the rig tune and sail setup to come up with the fastest setup for our customers. Ullman Sails Flying Tiger 10 Racing Guide Flying Tiger 10 Tuning Guide
COLLABORATIONU/S San Diego's Chuck Skewes and U/S Newport Beach's Erik Shampain have also been involved in the evolution of the Flying Tiger sails. We are currently on our 3rd and fastest version of Ullman spinnakers. This version has been extensively tested and is now in production. It has proven to be the fastest spinnaker in the fleet as it sails deeper without sacrificing speed.
 PROVEN RESULTS
The 2008 Pacific Coast Championships was proof of our hard work. Ullman Sails took first and second place with “Mile High Klub” taking first and “Ruckus” claiming second. But our development program did not stop there. Even after our success at this regatta, we have continued to spend hours on the water conducting our two-boat testing program. Ullman Sails has put the most effort into the Flying Tiger class and it is showing!
